Time decays.
Discipline shouldn't.
ThetaPrime runs your options-selling strategies — strangles, straddles, diagonals — across NIFTY, BankNifty, FinNifty, and F&O stocks, on your own Windows PC, with the safety rails a manual trader always means to build and rarely finishes. Connects directly to Zerodha Kite, ICICI Breeze, and Dhan. No cloud account, no code required to build a strategy.
365-day license · one machine · runs as a Windows service, survives reboots
Manual premium selling has a math problem you can't out-focus.
None of this is about strategy edge. It's about the small operational failures that erase it.
Connect, build, go live.
Connect
Log in to Kite, Breeze, or Dhan the way you already do — OAuth right inside the app window, TOTP and all, no separate browser tab. ThetaPrime stores the resulting token, not your password, and a refresh each morning is one click.
Build
Click blocks together in the Composer — structure, strikes, exits, sizing. The spec preview validates every parameter as you go, and a payoff diagram with one-click AI review helps you sanity-check the shape before you save.
Go live
Every strategy starts in Paper. Switching it to Real is the only gate for live trading — one deliberate toggle, with a confirmation showing today's P&L before it takes effect. A separate Automation switch controls whether it runs on schedule at all, so pausing a strategy never means quietly forgetting its mode.
Build a strangle by clicking, not scripting.
The Composer opens pre-seeded with a working ATM strangle. Swap the structure, tighten a strike, add a trailing stop — the live spec preview tells you the instant it's valid. Every saved strategy runs on the same engine, dashboard, and P&L reports — there's no separate code path to fall back to.
- Build with AI — describe what you want in plain English. With an AI provider configured it's an in-app chat, each reply validated server-side against the composer's own rules before you can apply it, with one automatic retry if a reply comes back invalid. No provider configured falls back to a copy/paste prompt handoff instead.
- Validates as you build — every parameter checked against its allowed range before you can save.
- Payoff diagram + Ask AI — see max profit/loss, breakevens, probability of profit, net Delta/Gamma/Theta/Vega, and a P&L what-if at spot ±1/2/3%, then hand the structure to your own ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or Gemini for a second opinion. No API key stored.
- Edit in place — reopen any composed strategy pre-filled, tune it, save over it.
- Reorder blocks — move any block up or down within its slot without rebuilding the strategy.
- Runs on NIFTY, BankNifty, FinNifty, or any F&O stock — strike ladders and lot sizes resolve from the exchange's live instrument list, not a hardcoded table that goes stale.
- Diagonal/Calendar legs roll independently — the short leg re-sells itself each time it closes, and the long hedge leg can roll on its own delta-drift trigger, so one side parking doesn't leave the other sitting idle.

Read the option chain's own footprints, not just the price.
Three scan modes, no strategy required: a specific underlying's full chain, a Top F&O Stocks sweep, or Flow — per-strike OI buildup and PCR, live off whichever broker you pick.
- Flow (OI Analysis) — every strike tagged Long Buildup, Short Buildup, Short Covering, or Long Unwinding from price + OI direction combined, plus PCR (OI) for the whole chain.
- Unusual-volume flag — a strike is flagged the instant today's volume reaches 50% of its open interest.
- Any connected broker — Kite, Breeze, or Dhan, switchable mid-scan; instruments, spot, OI, and LTPs all come from the one you pick.
- Ask AI — hand the scan straight to your own ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, or Copilot for a second read on notable strikes. No API key stored.
- Auto-refresh + CSV export — Flow mode can poll on an interval for a live view, or export any scan straight to CSV.
The discipline built in, not remembered.
This is the part a solo Python script usually skips. It's the part that matters most.
Real ≠ live by accident
Switching a strategy to Real triggers a confirmation showing today's P&L before anything takes effect — never a setting you flip without noticing. Lose that state — a restart that didn't keep it on, or a daily loss-limit trip — and the strategy stays set to Real but stops placing live orders, alerting you daily until you switch it back on by hand.
Pause without losing your mode
One switch creates or removes a strategy's scheduled entry and monitor jobs. Turning it off — or switching a Real position back to Paper — asks for confirmation first whenever it would stop exit monitoring on an open trade.
Daily stop, whole account
Set a hard stop in points, rupees, or both. The instant combined real-mode P&L crosses it, every Real strategy stops placing live orders and Real mode locks for the rest of the day.
No double entry
A strategy already holding a position can't open a second one. No accidental doubling from a re-triggered signal or a stray manual click.
Hard lot cap
A ceiling on lot size per strategy, enforced before the order is placed. A misconfigured strategy gets silently capped, never silently oversized.
Margin required, before you commit
Every strategy card shows notional exposure and margin required — a real broker basket-margin call where available, a conservative estimate otherwise — so sizing isn't a guess. A Covered call or Covered strangle template won't arm until a live holdings check confirms you actually hold the lot — priced and margined as naked otherwise, never assumed covered.
Orphan detection
Every five minutes during market hours, and at startup, ThetaPrime diffs your broker's live positions against its own trade state. A crash or a manual square-off shows up as a red badge, not a surprise next week.
Fix state, never place an order
Manual Entry and Edit Trade State correct ThetaPrime's own record when a fill happened outside automation — never a backdoor for placing or closing a position, and every edit is checked against the broker and logged.
Expired login, no live orders
No fresh broker token, no live trading — full stop. Paper trading and backtests keep running regardless, so a stale login degrades gracefully instead of silently.
Broker API validated on login
Every Kite, Breeze, or Dhan token is checked against the exact read-only endpoints strategies depend on, the moment you log in. A broken or changed broker API fails at Auth, not mid-strategy at 9:20am.
Fill confirmation, not assumption
A real order isn't done until the broker confirms the fill. An unconfirmed or partial entry rolls back — but only after cross-checking the broker's actual positions first, so a leg mis-reported as rejected during a fill-confirmation race isn't unwound by accident. A close order that never confirms behaves the same way in reverse: the leg is flagged, blocks new entries and re-entries, and surfaces to reconciliation, until you confirm it by hand.
Close one leg, autopilot handles the rest
Close a single leg outside automation and ThetaPrime pauses just that strategy — a ✋ MANUAL badge marks it and every automated entry, exit, and adjustment stands down until you close what's left. No re-enable step: the moment every leg is closed, autopilot resumes on its own.
Nothing this tool does happens silently.
Discipline handles the moment of decision. Monitoring is what lets you trust it afterward — live state you can check right now, and a record you can point to later.
Per-leg, not a static ticket
Trade Status shows live P&L for every leg, priced off the broker's current LTP and refreshing automatically every 30 seconds while it's open — not a number you have to manually pull.
Entries, exits, status — off the dashboard
Every entry, exit, and adjustment can push straight to WhatsApp, Telegram, email, or a webhook — no bridge process to babysit, useful mid-meeting, mid-commute, anywhere a screen isn't handy. Windows toast notifications too, right from the tray, while the app window's open.
Every action, one searchable trail
Login, entry, exit, adjustment, error — every action lands in a filterable log (by category and level) with CSV export, so you can reconstruct exactly what happened and when.
Badges, not a one-time check
Broker connection, available margin, and the Nifty LTP sit in the navbar on every page, updating in the background for the whole session — not just at login.
Ask Claude Desktop or Cursor, not just the dashboard
An MCP server exposes read-only tools — strategy status, positions, P&L, reconciliation health, recent logs — to your AI assistant over local stdio, authenticated with your dashboard password. Nothing new leaves your machine.
Kite, Breeze, and Dhan, side by side.
Write or compose a strategy once; run it against any connected broker's live data and order book from the same dashboard. Enable or disable a broker with one switch — no restart.
- Dhan support — OAuth login with a manual access-token fallback, contract-validated before a token is stored, same as Kite and Breeze.
- Breeze quote batching — option-chain lookups are batched per expiry so delta-target scans stay under ICICI's own rate limit.
- India VIX sourced correctly — pulled from NSE directly for brokers that don't quote it themselves.
- One dashboard, one history — trades, P&L, and reconciliation look identical regardless of which broker filled the order.
Nothing about your trading leaves your desk.
- No ThetaPrime cloud. The app installs and runs entirely on your PC as a background Windows service.
- Windows Credential Manager for secrets. API keys, access tokens, dashboard password, and license key live in the same vault Windows uses for its own saved passwords.
- Trade data encrypted at rest. Your trade history and P&L database are AES-256-GCM encrypted whenever ThetaPrime isn't running, keyed from the same Credential Manager vault. A one-time recovery code is issued on first run, so scheduled trading survives a reboot unattended without you re-entering anything.
- Two things leave your machine: HTTPS calls to your broker's API, and one silent version check against GitHub, once a day. Nothing else.
- One-click backup, or scheduled. A single zip of strategies, trade history, and credentials — trade data encrypted inside it — restoring first snapshots your current data automatically, so a bad restore is one click to undo. Set it to run daily to any local folder, including one synced by OneDrive, Dropbox, or Google Drive, with configurable retention.
